S3TK is and will always be freeware, it is very small, only 30 kb without the installer taht's on it's own 70kb with package including uninstaller.it also runs, install independent, which means you don't need to install it for it to work.. however it comes in two pieces, currently, nd therefore it's best ot install it It is designed to perform a system shutdown, reboot, logoff and as of version 1.2 can restart Explorer, in cases where the starts to become unstable.

Quick ShutDown - free Windows shutdown utility that allows to shutdown, reboot, logoff, hibernate, standby or lock your Windows session with a mouse click. When Quick ShutDown is running, an accurate miniature icon appears on the taskbar on the end opposite the Start button (next to the clock). Right-click on the icon and you have a choice to shutdown, reboot, standby, hibernate, lock, logoff and eject removable media. You can preset a command so that all you need to do is to left double-click on the its icon in the desktray and that function will be carried out. Also you can choose to click or double-click it with the left mouse button. Quick ShutDown optionally terminates programs that are not responding, making shutdowns both quicker and safer. You can easily set hotkeys for each task (shutdown, reboot, standby, hibernate, lock, logoff and media eject). This program is a professional shutdown, automation, atomic time synchronizing, disk cleaning and PC protection utility - the best you can get today. dfg ShutDown XP gives you an easy and thorough time controlled and automatic way to shutdown, restart or log off your system with optional power off and shutdown forcing (no questioning). An optional Countdown Counter (visual and acoustic) enables you to cancel the system shutdown within a time period of up to 99 seconds. The program also has a built in alarm clock function (alarm sound). Optionally will dfg ShutDown XP will protect the computer while you are absent.
