It is no longer supplied in the Vinyl_AudioCodec driver package.Release history: This combination driver was first published on 24 June 2002. Prior to 24 June 2002, there was driver 74mu170a for VT8233/VT8233A/VT8233C and driver 68MU220b for VT686A, 686B & VT8321. The "combo" driver combined those two drivers into the one package and added support for the (at the time) new VT8235 southbridge. Further improvements have been made in subsequent releases, including adding support for more codecs and the driver package is now called Vinyl_AudioCodec.Special note: VIA advises that where possible, users should install onboard sound drivers provided by their motherboard manufacturer in preference to the audio drivers below.For use with the following Operating Systems : Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 98SE, Windows 98, Windows 95, and DOS.For use with the following Products :VIA AC97 codec incorporated into VT82C686A South Bridge ( VT82C686A ), VIA AC97 codec incorporated into VT82C686B South Bridge ( VT82C686B ), VIA AC97 codecs incorporated into VT8233, VT8233A, VT8233C, VT8235 and VT8237 South Bridges ( VT1612A VT8233/A/C VT8233/VT8233A/VT8233B/VT8235/VT8237 VT8235 VT8235CE VT8237 ), VIA Six-TRAC (VT1616 Codec) ( VT1616 ), VIA Vinyl Eight-TRAC (VT1617 Codec) ( VT1617 ), VIA AC97 codec incorporated into VT8231 South Bridge ( VT8231 ), VIA VT1612A audio codec ( VT1612A ) Before starting this driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest driver version available. Follow readme instructions/help file for installing drivers when available. Sometimes you need to restart your system for the new installed driver to become active.
