 File Encrypter  License: Freeware

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Required to run this program. Please Install it from the microsoft's download site link given below: Encrypting: To encrypt a file, you have two options. Either you can use a password or a password_file. After selecting the option, press the Encrypt button to encrypt the file. The encrypted file is stored in the same directory, with .ENCRYPTED appended to the filename. For example, a file TEST.TXT will be renamed TEST.TXT.ENCRYPTED NOTE: The program generates a Hash from the given password or password_file, and then, uses it to encrypt the given file. There are no limits on the password length (32768 digits) , or the password_file. The password_file can be any file present on your computer. As an one way Hash is generated, if you forget the password or lose the password_file it is impossible to recover the original file. So, you must NOT forget the password or delete/lose the password_file, or you will not be able to decrypt the encrypted file. Decrypting: To decrypt a file you must enter/select the same password/password_file used to encrypt te file and then press the Decrypt Button. The decrypted file is stored in the same directory, with .DECRYPTED appended to its name. For example, a file TEST.TXT will be renamed TEST.DECRYPTED.TXT. Important: Do not lose the password or password_file used to encrypt. This program requires .NET Framework to be installed on your computer. Dot Net Framework can be downloaded from the microsoft's download site; .NET Framework 3.0 is preferred. But, this program works with the lower versions also. ArpanTECH will not be liable for any kind of loss/damage caused due to usage of this program.

File Encrypter (FIPS-197) - Arpan Jati - ArpanTECH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Encrypt Files using 256 bit Block Cipher : Rijndael for the highest possible data security. Rijndael is approved as the Advanced Encryption Standard, FIPS-197 by NIST This standard specifies Rijndael as a FIPS-approved symmetric encryption algorithm that may be used by U.S. Government organizations (and others) to protect sensitive information. ----------------------------------- PROCEDURE: File Encryption: ------------------------ 1) Browse and select a file by pressing the Browse button. 2) Type a password in the password field. - The password should be at least 6-10 digits long. And should both alphabets (a-z ; A-Z) and numbers(0-9) and preferably symbols. - It should be easy to remember but difficult for others to guess. - There are no restrictions on password length as an irreversible Hash is generated from the password. 3) Retype the password. 4) Select the file naming (leave it to modify: recommended). 5) Press the Encrypt (Red) Button File Decryption: ---------------------- 1) Browse and select the encrypted file pressing the Browse button. 2) Type the password in the password field. 3) Retype the password. 4) Select the file naming (leave it to modify: recommended). 5) Press the Decrypt (Green) Button Naming Convention: -------------------------------- The files are renamed as follows: In Append Mode: .encr or .decr is appended to the filename, for each Encryption or Decryption process. In Rename Mode: 1) For Encryption: .encr is appended to the filename. 2) For Decryption: All .encr and .decr extensions are removed and original filename restored with .decr appended in between. For Example: A file abc.txt.encr will be renamed abc.decr.txt Algorithm: Uses 256bit cipher Rijndael (FIPS-197) Arpan Jati - ArpanTECH, Inc All Rights Reserved

 iKill  License: Freeware

Prevents Virus spreading through removable drives. Working: - It works by scanning the drives for the presence of removable drives. - If found, it parses the autorun.inf file for the executables it may run. - If AutoProtect is enabled, it will automatically delete the files present on the drive. otherwise, you will be asked if you want the suspected files deleted. In general a USB drive of any kind, a pendrive, ipod, mp3 Players, mobile phones, all may contain viruses, they just act as carriers, the viruses/trojans exploit the autorun.inf file to execute themselves whenever you try to open the drive by double clicking. They even may shadow the Open, Explore, Search, etc, other features using the shell commands.. like.. shellExplorecommand = virus.exe Here, when you right click on the drive icon and click on Explore, virus.exe would be launched, infecting the whole system, and then it will start spreading by any means possible... - So, the program parses the autorun.inf for you and deletes the virus/trojans. There is no use of the autorun.inf in you removable drive. (It is rarely used by some applications to provide some added functionality, like the Wireless Config tool to help setup a home network. But, the applications are limited.) , you can safely delete it.
