DNS Thing

DNS Thing is a free utility that provides Windows users with a way to make common DNS queries using a graphical user interface. It can provide frequently queried information like looking up the IP address for a hostname or determining the MX record for a domain. DNS Thing uses the Nslookup utility as an underlying technology to perform the actual DNS queries. However, by providing a graphical front-end, it vastly improves its usability and makes accessing more advanced results such as Sender Policy Framework anti-spam data and time-to-live (TTL) information for queries practical.

Network Commander
License: Freeware

This application was written due to a lot of frustration from my side, I have been working a lot with network configurations, routers setup (networking maintenance, in general). I didn’t have any good tool that will help me with the little things. I hate going to command prompt and run programs like, ping, tracert, net stat, etc.
While administrating couple of small networks, I found out that it will be much more easier to keep all of the clients well updated by enabling the option of controlling them remotely. Of course there are a lot of software out there that can remotely control a client but I wanted the process to be transparent to the client side. I wanted something that will give me the ability of installing software on the remote side without kicking the user out from its own machine (for example, installing an update of virus definitions). Installing client side software was out of the question, I don't like to walk to each and every computer on the network and installing a "listening" software manually.
The Network Commander is able to connect to any client on the network, executing processes, ending processes, running DOS commands and more just at a click of a button from the server side.
Couple of more convenient features where implemented to make your life much more easier: port scanner, that can scan a range of IP address for open/closed ports, network utilization that can enumerate the current network usage, TCP/UDP/ICMP/IP statistics for the current machine and more..

Free IP Tools is a convenient way to keep all important network utilities in one place. The program includes twelve popular network tools that are essential for troubleshooting network problems and for debugging network applications and services. All the tools are neatly packed inside a single program featuring a user-friendly graphical interface and adjustable settings.
Among the included utilities are customizable ping and traceroute, capable of presenting results in a convenient form.
PortScan is a port scanner utility will allow you to scan your network for open ports. It supports both the full connect mode and the stealth scanning.
HostAlive is a tool for monitoring availability of a remote host and network services provided by the host (such as HTTP or FTP server).
EmailVerify will check if a certain email address is valid by asking the corresponding server.
SNMPAudit is an advanced SNMP device scanner that can quickly and easily locate SNMP devices.
SysFiles offers an easy way to edit five system files that are important for networking: services, protocol, networks, hosts, and lmhosts.
IPBlackList is a utility that checks if the provided IP address or host is black listed at spam databases, open proxies and other popular services. This allows understanding why certain services are denied to a host.
NBScan will scan your network for available Windows shares, which includes shared files, folders, printers and other devices. This NetBIOS scanner works quickly due to the parallel scanning feature, so it can scan and enumerate all shared resources in a class C network within a minute.
RawSocket can create low-level TCP and UDP sockets to test and adjust different network services.
Shares monitors shared resources on the computer and monitors who connects to your shared files and devices. It can also be used to connect to remote shares easily.
NSLookup resolves hostnames to IP addresses and the other way around.
