ProfileLink is an application designed to help laptop users easily use their computer at different locations. When using a laptop computer at different locations, e.g. office, home and travelling may require the user to make different kinds of selections when launching applications. When the user logs on to the computer ProfileLink will start automatically and launch the applications that the user has assigned to the current hardware profile. ProfileLink will also set up the users default printer depending on hardware profile. If the user changes the default printer ProfileLink will register this and use this setting the next time the user logs on using the same hardware profile. As an example we can take a look at how to use a mail client. E.g. when using the computer in the office the user will normally use the company’s mail server, but when using the computer at home or while travelling the user might use the mail server of some ISP. Prior to ProfileLink there ware several ways to accomplish this, but none of them ware fully automatic. One way to do it could be to let the user select the profile when the mail client was launched, another could be to create a number of batch files that the user could invoke depending on his or her current location. The last method we will mention here is one that seems to be widely used and it relies on creating multiple user-accounts for the same user and letting the user select the account matching the location, e.g. Lisa would have three accounts, Lisa (Office), Lisa (Home) and Lisa (Travelling). The problem with this solution is that if Lisa installs a new program in the office account it will not be available in the two other accounts. With ProfileLink it is possible to configure which parameters a specific application should be launched with depending on the current location. Instead of using different user-accounts for the same user ProfileLink relies on multiple hardware profiles.

The physic of the real world can be formulated into mathematical form using differential equations. The strategy used by this software is based on the concept that differential equations generally are parameters dependent so we can found optimal control parameters using an optimization template. The optimization tool-box used by OpenDDPT is an innovative non-convex second-order method that replaces the hessian structure (the hessian matrix has heavy memory storage and an expensive computational-cost) with directional-derivatives , reducing the second order information computational cost of one order without approximation.Control's local informations (i.e. gradient and it's directional derivate) are found trough an extended form of the back-propagation rule used for neural-network and that new extended form can perform not only weighted-sum and sigmoidal saturations but also multiplication ,addition, time-delay and any non-linearity and it can be used as a generic expression for realizing any non linear discrete time control device.

The utility shows relative size of all elements (both files and directories) in a directory on disk using columnar diagram. It allows you quickly to estimate how many space a file or subdirectory occupies on parent directory and how space is distributed among the directory's elements.
You can also:
- change parent directory
- view files' meta-data (creation date etc)
- select sort order (by size and name)
- select linear, logarithmic and root scale of diagram columns
- view size in bytes, Kbytes and Mbytes.
The utility uses color coding to present size information, so bigger elements will be indicated with red and smaller one with green. It supports also localization so you'll be able to make it speaking your native language.

PaRaMeter stands for "Page Rank Meter" - the meter of Google PageRank which is one of the web ranking important parameters. Google PageRank shows how important your site is and is based on the number and quality of backlinks to your site. Obviously, you want to know how important your website is from the Google's point of view. You install Google Toolbar and open your site in a browser to see its PageRank.
But what if you have a number of websites to check? Here comes The PaRaMeter. With it, you can easily check the PageRank of dozens websites with just one click, without openning each one in your browser explicitly. The PaRaMeter works fast, does not require Google Toolbar to be installed on your computer and is capable to export the PageRank info into CSV report.

Does your Internet Service Provider drop your dial-up connection after what seems like only nanoseconds of account inactivity? Stay Live 2000 keeps your Internet Dial-Up Connection active and on-line by periodically sending a small TCP/IP packet to one of the many Atomic Clocks maintained by the United States Government. Sending these small packets prevents your ISP from dropping your connection due to inactivity. You may also optionally select to have your computer's internal real-time clock updated each time one of these packets is sent and a response is returned from an NIST Time Server. You can use this utility in one of two ways. Either run your web browser or other Internet software and then launch Stay Live to keep your connection active, or launch Stay Live first to establish an Internet connection and then run your web browser or other software.
