The filter for VirtualDub to remove video noise on VHS movie. Its main task is suppression of noise as small bright lines, red or blue color, less often green. Because of discontinuity of a magnetic layer of VHS-tape such lines always are present at the image.
The filter analyses each frame irrespective of others, due to what it brings in additional distortions in comparison with dynamic filters (practically there is a loss of clearness in comparison with the operation blur). In aggregate with high accuracy of definition of noise the given filter, probably, is the leader among similar filters for VirtualDub. Is especially convenient at coding in MPEG4 or DivX, since even after deleting small noise the size of the encoded file decreases.
The level cut of noise can be regulated for any of color components. The filter is optimized for processors with support MMX-technology.

BIGSPEED Voice Compression SDK is a simple, low-complexity, low-cost voice engine for quick development of VoIP applications. It incorporates audio recording/playback and voice compression/decompresion in a single COM automation object, along with some advanced voice processing features.
The used audio format is wideband, 16kHz, 16Kbps, PCM. The compression ratio is adjustable and can vary from 4:1 to 50:1.
A lot of bandwidth can be addionally saved thanks to the silence compression. A voice activity detector (VAD) with an adjustable threshold level is used to distinguish between regions with normal speech activity and those with silence or background noise.
An optional echo suppression can be employed thanks to the robust double talk detector. When a double talk situation is detected, the output signal is faded (half-duplex).
An automatic gain control (AGC) system is implement with a dynamic range 10:1. A noise reduction is performed on the microphone signal to decrease the white noise.
BIGSPEED Voice Compression SDK utilizes an elegant event-driven paradigm for easy integration into Windows applications. A special attention is paid to provide responsive user interface while maintaining low CPU usage. TyMusicDB is a freeware program which recognizes up to 10.000 musical pieces in real-time. TyMusicDB is capable of identifying partial recordings of songs ("samples"). A sample can be as short as 5 seconds and may come from a random position in the song. The Database does not store the entire audio data of a song. Instead, it uses a fingerprinting technology to recognize music. Thus fingerprints need to be taken from all songs that are to be recognized. These can be extracted from audio-files or can be directly recorded from a microphone. The recognition algorithm is designed to identify songs based on their acoustical properties and is thus very robust against noise and other distortion. When a song is recognized, the title and the name of the artist is displayed and/or announced by a computer voice.
