Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner

Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner detects a multitude of spyware, adware, trojan, keylogger and trackware components; sources of irritation that antivirus software does not deal with. The scanning process will only take a fraction of a second and tell you how to uninstall the invasive spyware or put you in contact with the spyware developer for the most up-to-date and safe uninstall instructions. Spyware and adware is often bundled with software such as Kazaa, Morpheus, Grokster, Imesh, Xolox, Gnutella and a myriad of other programs, and in many cases installed without your knowledge. Some send information about your surfing habits to ad companies, which target you with popup ads that fit your preferences. Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner search for Gator, GAIN, Bargain Buddy, CommonName, FlashTrack, IPInsight, n-CASE, NetRatings, NewDotNet, SaveNow, Wurldmedia, etc. The complete list is available here. To stay-up-to date with the latest spyware and adware software Bazooka downloads the threat definitions from the web. Bazooka is freeware and Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP compatible.

AlfaClock Free Edition

Ancient Egyptians used the shadow clock (gnomon) to determine correct time. The Greeks used the water clock, or clepsydra. The first mechanical clock appeared in the fourteenth century. Then, in 1929 first electronic timepieces appeared.
As time changes, so do the time-keeping devices. Now, in the beginning of the third millennium, the most precise time can be displayed only by the atomic clock. And thanks to the Internet and AlfaClock, you can have the atomic clock right on your desktop. At first glance, AlfaClock is a regular taskbar clock (sometimes called "tray clock"). But that is just your first impression. This tray clock combines multitude of cool features with stylish design. First, you can set AlfaClock to display time, date and day of the week simultaneously. Second, you can customize AlfaClock to announce this information periodically. And you can set an alarm - a very handy feature, if you frequently keep losing track of time, while using your computer. Atomic Clock Synchronization feature allows you to periodically connect to atomic clock time servers to make sure that your computer displays correct time and adjust it automatically, if necessary. Correct time may be critical to some computer users - for example, to professional eBay bidders, who make their final bids thirty seconds before the auction closes.
AlfaClock has quite a few of extra features that other taskbar clocks don’t have. Like copy time/date to clipborad feature. Or a fully customizable pop-up calendar. Created to ISO8601 specifications, it allows you to change the first day of the week, highlight weekends and holidays.
AlfaClock takes very little system resources and is fully compatible with all Windows versions - Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP.

Operating systems have come a long way from primitive file management tools to sophisticated home and office computing environments featuring a multitude of tools intended to ease up our life.
Most of us have got used to the fact that each and every action within the operating system can be performed in a variety of ways: some prefer clicking items, while others favor the keyboard control or context menus.
Talking Windows and the latest XP family specifically, it is obvious the operating system has almost everything we need to use the computer effectively. Almost...
Let us have a look at such a common OS control element as Taskbar. The idea of switching between various tasks using a square bar with buttons on it is rather straightforward. All works fine when there are three to five open windows.
However, most of us have faced a situation when we need to keep dozens of windows open - interrelated documents, calculator, e-mail client, several web browser windows - all mess up the Taskbar space resulting in poor computing experience and growing frustration. We start clicking small non-informative buttons in vain attempt to find the desired window, but it takes much time. Window grouping does not save the day, since it requires even more clicks to get where we want in congested Taskbar environment.
SwitchWindow, is here to help us. This tiny tool integrates with Windows Shell providing two important functions from virtually any spot you can right-click: it allows switching to the desired window using menu (full description for each open window is available) as well as it allows closing unwanted windows with [CTRL]+Right Click combination right from the menu!
With SwitchWindow it is easy to operate any number of documents and applications without having to waste precious time on searching for the desired window! As we have mentioned above, SwitchWindow is FREE, so go ahead and download it today! See how much faster you can
