DESCRIPTION: ------------------------ MIDICLOCK can be used for synchronization of MIDI devices. The BPM rate of the clock signal can be set, and the MIDI real time clock protocol is sent out with the precision of the Windows multimedia timer. The clock signal can be started/stopped/adjusted by pressing keys or sending MIDI-IN patch change commands. HINTS: ------------ 1. MIDIClock can be used to synchronize multiple sequencers/synths. You can do this using MIDIYoke (get it at www.midiox.com). Connect MIDIClock to MIDIYoke Junction 1 output. As MIDIYoke is a multiclient driver, you can connect multiple sequencers/synths (such as rebirth, AN1x,...) to MIDIYoke Junction 1 MIDI input. 2. Don't forget to push Ctrl+Alt+s if you wish to save your settings. It saves into clockpresets.ini. 3. Basic MIDI control (program change) of tempos can be set from the GUI. Just send the desired patch change to the program's selected midi in. Adjust to the according tempo and press apply. The program change message is now linked to the tempo. Midi channels are numbered from 1 to 16. The Program numbers are numbered from 1 to 128. 4. By editing the clockpresets.ini file, you can achieve even more advanced remote control of midiclock. Enable HexSpy to monitor the incoming midi messages. It will help you determine which entries you need to add to the ini file. The BPM_PRESETS section contains the tempo settings for all patch selects. You can add action codes to any of these entries. Additionally you can add special commands which translate an incoming midi message (such as midi control messages) into a midiclock action. This is done in the SPECIAL_COMMANDS section. Frigate is a new breed of file managers that is more of a command center, rather then a simple “file copying and renaming automation utility”. The first important distinction is that it comes with functional modules that can be plugged in or disabled. In particular, the program has built-in file viewers (DBF, RTF, HTML, DOC, Excel, Hex), smart assistant utilities (TreeNotes, StartUp Manager, Calculator, SmartPad, Directory Size Manager), file navigation options (Favorites, Bookmarks, Quick View), mp3 tag editor, image viewer and editor, and internal compression agent (Zip, Arj, Rar, Ace, Jar, Ha, Lha and four other formats). Second, the program features own text editor with syntax support for most popular programming and scripting languages, like C, C++, Perl, Java, Pascal, VBScript, Bat, HTML, XML and others. Plus, there is a method navigator feature that can instantly find a desired function or procedure. Other developer-friendly options are HTML support system and export in HTML and RTF with color highlighting. There also are a built-in FTP client, network support, file/folder synchronization options, task scheduler, image converter, file search engine, offline browser, recent file actions history feature and much more. And yes, there are multiple automation and batch processing options for common file operations (copying, moving, deleting, re-naming), including an option to schedule them. To access a module, users only have to click an appropriate tab. All windows can be minimized. And while the program targets advanced computer users, the learning curve for it is rather low.
