Sight Words (often called the Dolch Word List) are some of the most frequently used words in the English language. Even though they number only about 200, Sight Words comprise approximately 50 to 70 percent of general, non-technical reading material. Therefore, teaching Sight Words as early as possible is considered a crucial part of elementary education. Moreover, repetition and practice are essential in making the recognition of Sight Words automatic. Sight Words Buddy is designed to provide children with easy and fun Sight Words exercises. When the exercise starts, the student will hear one of the Sight Words. The student’s task is to click on the written representation of the word. If the student wishes to repeat the word, he or she can do so by clicking on the “speaker” picture. Both visual and auditory feedback are provided to indicate whether the response is correct. After the student provides the correct answer, the exercise moves to the next word. STG Wordlist is a simple program intended as a helper on word games.
A large word list is included and can be replaced by the user. You can search in mask mode or anagram mode.

There are two main ways to use the the program:

1) Masked
Enter the Number of letters. A number of asterisks will appear on Mask.
You can edit the positions for letters, add letters that MUST be on the word on Letters to Include or put letters that cannot be in the word on Letters to Exclude.
Then click on Look to get the resulting word list.

2) Anagram
Just enter all the letters that can be used and click on Look.
Please note that anagram is only good for games without limits on what letters you pick - games where letters must be next to each other are outside the scope of STG Wordlist.

Easy HHK parses a list of index words from the topic files found in an HTML help project.
