   Freeware: Digest

 MD5  License: Freeware

This is our implementation of the famous MD5 algorithm, and presents an easy and highly secure way of verifying the integrity of files. Single-line text, multi-line text and file contents are all supported inputs. The resulting MD5 hash is displayed in a textbox for easy clipboard copying. Software is often accompanied by an MD5 'hash' (or 'checksum'). This serves as a unique identifier for the contents of the file - if the file contents change then so does the MD5 hash, making it easy to verify the integrity of files. A brief description of MD5: The algorithm takes as input a message of arbitrary length and produces as output a 128 bit (16 byte) "fingerprint" of the input (also known as a "message digest", "checksum" or "hash"). It is conjectured that it is computationally infeasible to produce two messages having the same message digest, or to produce any message having a given prespecified target message digest. The MD5 algorithm was designed by Ron Rivest.

 Arpoon Checksum  License: Freeware

Arpoon Checksum computes checksums of files. A checksum (message digest, hash value) is a kind of fingerprint that enables to uniquely identify a file or document. This can be used for authentication purposes or to track document modifications. By way of example, this tool can be utilized to: * uniquely identify a given file, thus using the checksum as a fingerprint. * survey a file i.e. to check if a file as been modified by comparing its actual checksum with a previously archived value. * look for possible duplicate of files by scanning hardware storage devices (hard disk, DVD, CD, memory sticks...) * verify the authenticity i.e. genuineness of a fingerprinted document that has been sent to you (e.g. as an EMail attachment or by way of a download) by comparing its on-the-fly computed checksum with its stored fingerprint. Builtin functionality: * Drag&Drop of files or directories * Recursive calculation for directories strucutres (optional) * Result list can be sorted (ascending/descending) by every single checksum type * Link to files can be resolved (optional) * Hash values can be displayed as hexadecimal or as a MIME-compatible base64 code * Display of detailled file properties like attributes, size, date of creation... * Result list may be exported to the clipboard or saved as CSV or HTML files * During long run calculation, the computing progression is displayed * Statistics on computation (average speed rate, file size ...) are automatically collected * A warning message may be displayed before a time consuming computation is started * Multiple files computation may be aborted during the calculation * Checksum calculation for a very big files may be aborted too * All options are maintened in an Ini-file, which is automatically saved in the current user's application data directory, allowing a per user configuration

 FSUM  License: Freeware

Free command line utility for file multi-checksum generation and verification. It allows to create/verify popular file hashes/checksums: MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2(256,384,512), RIPEMD-160, PANAMA, TIGER, CRC-32, ADLER32, and the message digest used in eMule/eDonkey (ed2k) software. Its most common use is checking files for corruption (data integrity checking). A hash/checksum calculation might be performed on data before transferring (downloading/uploading) it from one location to another. Making the same calculation after the transfer (download/upload) and comparing the former and latter results, you can check if the received data is corrupted or not. FSUM notifies about any bad, incorrect, missing file. It is a very fast, easy to use tool. Allows to recurse directories. Works with large size files. Supports .MD5 and .SFV file formats (automatically recognizes the format when verifying). Compatible with md5sum, MD5Summer, Easy MD5 Creator, SFV Checker/Verifier, WinSFV, Win CRC32.

 HashCalc  License: Freeware

Free calculator to compute multiple hashes, checksums and HMACs for files, text and hex strings. It allows to calculate hash (message digest), checksum and HMAC values based on the most popular algorithms: MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA1, SHA2 (SHA256, SHA384, SHA512), RIPEMD160, PANAMA, TIGER, CRC32, ADLER32, and the hash used in eDonkey (eDonkey2000,ed2k) and eMule tools. It supports 3 input data formats: file, text string and hexadecimal string. It is a very fast, easy to use and to install application. It works with large size files, supports file drag-and-drop functionality. HashCalc generates hash, check sum, and HMAC for files of any type which makes it a valuable utility to test for corruption your FTP and other download/upload transfers. With this tool you can quickly compare music, audio, sound, video, film, game, image, icon, document and other files, verify CD and hard drive files, perform checking of your .mp3, .mpeg, .mpg, .avi, .vcd, .iso, .zip, .gif, .jpg, .doc and other downloads.

 HTTPS tunnel client  License: Freeware

HTTPS tunnel - better and easier than VPN.
The Barracuda HTTP tunnel provides an easy and convenient method for remote use of Internet/Intranet software. Your standard Internet software is configured to use the HTTP tunnel proxy for access to your company's LAN. In addition, the tunnel allows collaboration from access points not accessible to VPN solutions such as from behind external company firewalls.
The Barracuda HTTPS tunnel acts as a SOCKS, HTTP, and HTTPS proxy server. The HTTPS tunnel allows you to use your Internet applications such as your browser anonymously, despite firewalls. The Barracuda HTTPS tunnel also supports a direct tunnel for protocols that do not support proxying; such as TELNET, FTP, VNC, and most Internet protocols.
Why even consider using IPSec and VPN when a HTTPS Tunnel can do 99% of what you can do with IPSec. Unlike VPN/IPSec, The HTTPS tunnel is very easy to configure and use.

HTTPS tunnel features:
 High-grade 256-bit AES SSL encryption
 Supports SSL and SOCKS proxies
 Install on demand client tunnel
 Built in firewall
 Digest/Basic authentication
