If you have a need to fill lots of forms with similar text then you'll love this tool. QuickFill by BB is specifically designed to copy your templates onto the clipboard for quick paste into emails, documents and forms. Simply (1) prepare templates as text files, (2) give them a distinguishing name, and (3) drop them into the Templates folder. When you run QuickFill by BB they will automatically appear in the drop down combo box. Select a template then click the COPY button to copy it to the clipboard. Paste it into your document. Also access your commonly used Snippets like signatures, addresses or disclaimers from the right click menu. They are copied to the clipboard for easy paste. The QuickFill interface is a tiny red title bar, set 'always-on-top' requiring minimum screen space. Double click the title bar and it reduces even smaller for idle. One button allows the contents of the combo box to be copied to the clipboard, and the other closes the program. This program is a FREE full working version. It creates NO registry keys nor makes any secret files. It contains no Spyware or AdWare, and is totally non-intrusive.

Lumisoft UI Controls License: Freeware
|
|
|
when using Lumisoft’s UI Controls 0.11, developers can choose from over a dozen basic flat controls and add them to their Windows Forms applications. The library includes the following controls: · Label · Button · ToolBar · EditBox · SpinEdit · ComboBox · CheckBox · PictureBox · TabControl · OutlookBar · DateTimePicker With this library, developers can quickly add controls to their applications that would normally involve much more work. For example, developers can take advantage of ButtonEdit, which is the combination of an EditBox and a Button. Other examples of controls this library offers to developers include SpinEdit and OutlookBar controls. However, the library seems somewhat buggy. For example, the code generated when dragging a control (specifically, the wFrame type) onto a Form will not compile: it inserts obsolete code that contains a typographical error. The controls can be configured using the Property tab in Visual Studio .NET, but lack the more advanced WYSIWYG design-time support offered by other control libraries. The code of the library is written in C#. The controls lack databinding capabilities. Some properties don’t seem to have any effect. Limited to one style, unlike other libraries. The toolbar cannot float in applications; namely, it is not dockable.

MenuXP License: Freeware

CMenuXP is a small set of MFC classes that allow developers to add various graphical user interface elements with an Office XP look to their MFC apps. What this means is that developers can add the flat, non-3D, “water-color” UI controls that were first introduced in Office XP to their MFC applications. These controls do not have raised edges, do not look “pushed in” when clicked, and are not “shadowed” (except for menus). Instead, when elements are selected, they are outlined and shaded. The following classes are included in the library: · CButtonXP: Creates a flat-edged button. · CComboBoxXP: Creates a flat-edged combobox. · CMenuXP: Allows, among other things, icons along the edge of menus · CStatusBarXP: Creates a flat-edged status bar. · CToolBarXP: Developers can easily insert other controls into this toolbar. · CBufferDC: Encapsulates double-buffering to eliminate flickering while drawing. · CImgDesc: A menu item image management class. However, the library has a couple of drawbacks. First, it cannot be used in a language other than C++. Second, it is written using MFC, the Microsoft Foundation Classes library. Although some programmers adore this framework, many find it unwieldy. Of course, the developer who wants to add the Office XP style to applications written using MFC may find that this class library can be of use. But developers starting a new project who are looking for a simpler, more secure library may wish to consider other options.

Quick Hide Windows by CronoSoft is great for hiding program windows with a press of a hotkey combination. You easily bring them back with another combo. Hiding the taskbar and desktop icons is just awesome. Password protection allows you to lock QHW to prevent intruders from trying to show invisible applications while you're gone. You can even lock your computer with QHW instead of a weak, easily hackable screensaver password.

FLib is a free, open source library of high-quality Java components. It currently contains wizard and calendar components and a table layout manager. The wizard component makes it easy to create multi-step user dialogs. The calendar component can be used by itself or as part of a combo-box drop-down. The table layout replaces GridBagLayout and is much easier to use. While the components are in English, complete localization is possible. The calendar component is mostly internationalized as is and automatically adapts to the locale.

There are lots of Python tutorials out there, but we found none are as clear and simple as the Beazley slides. The only thing missing was an index. This point and click index makes Python as easy to use as JavaScript. For webmasters who need to do utility work, it is much easier than learning Perl. PythonGuide is Forever Free Software licensed under the GNU General Public License of the Free Foftware Foundation. Thank you for your support of InnerPeace. InnerPeace is not primarily a webmaster programming site. However, in the course of doing our web site, we have discovered few things that other webmasters may find helpful, many of which are not elsewhere available. This is one of them.

SoundBreak License: Freeware

OOS, RSI, CTS... - These acronyms all hurt you, and can kill your career in these wired times. Repetitive strain injury, Occupational overuse syndrome, and Carpal tunnel syndrome are all faces of the same malaise. In layman's terms, if you use something too much, you'll damage it. For those on the coal face of the IT industry, it's endemic, and can mean losing a career when typing becomes too painful to sustain... What can you do? A good typing technique makes a huge difference. Touch typing is recommended, and you should use two hands to use a shift or control key combo. I switched to the Dvorak keyboard a while back, both to reduce finger movement, and force myself to touch type. It is a big help to take frequent 'microbreaks' every 5-15 minutes from what you are doing, move around, stretch, and give blood a chance to flow around the place. You should move your arms away from the keyboard and mouse, focus your eyes to some distant point, and relax. I wrote this program because I always get too involved in what I am working on to remember to take regular breaks (hours can pass before I remember that I should eat, or go to the toilet...). However, I found every reminder program I tried to be too frustrating and/or intrusive to use for long. What does the program do? Every 10 minutes (or whatever you set it to) the program will play a sound to remind you to have a stretch. I use a large archive of sound bites from movies and TV (www.tidalwavs.com is good) - the program picks one at random as the reminder each time to keep it interesting. The important thing is that this is not intrusive, it does not slow me down, and it works. I resent those programs that measure how much you have moved your mouse, or used your keyboard. All that expends resources that my PC and I could better use elsewhere. SoundBreak just sleeps until it is needed.
