Converging lines in photographs, particularly of buildings, forests and so on, can often detract from the desired effect. Architectural elements in photographs often have diagonal lines, but the mind thinks of buildings as having vertical and horizontal lines. Converging lines are caused by the film-plane being angled relative to the object of the photo, and that effect can be avoided optically by the use of either a shift lens (quite expensive) or the use of a medium or large-format view camera having swing features. With a shift lens, the lens itself is shifted perpendicularly to the z-axis, so that the film level can remain parallel to the subject. Shift lenses are mechanically and optically more complex than standard lenses, which is why they are comparatively expensive. Often, one is shooting with a "point and shoot" camera, where the option of changing lenses does not exist. The advent of digital photography or scanning existing photos from prints opens up new possibilities for manipulating the picture. Here is where ShiftN shows its strength. ShiftN permits correction of converging lines; a majority of the correction work is taken over automatically by the program. Using the "automatic correction" item in the menu is in most cases sufficient to produce a satisfying result. Both the effects of converging lines and poor camera angle are corrected automatically. The process in ShiftN is to search the image first for straight lines and edges, and to consider those which are sufficiently vertical to be likely architectural elements. On the basis of these straight line segments the program runs an optimization process that attempts to determine perspective, correcting the image so the lines are made parallel to each other.

nMacro allows you to record both keyboard and mouse actions and then save them as standalone executable files, which you can run to reproduce recorded actions on same system or on other systems. You can also set different other options like showing messages, opening applications, changing resolution, add a delay etc. It works by hooking all messages sent by mouse actions and key actions. The recorded actions are then saved as a standalone executable that when run will play the recorded messages and so reproduce the previouslly recorded mouse and keyboard actions. In order to start recording first you need to set where do you want the output to be saved and its name. This is the executable that will result from the recording. You can do this by writing the path in the Save Record As field or by clicking the browse button next to it. Once you've set the output path you can start recording or you can set a password that will be required everytime you run the output before playing recorded events. Also here you have an options to disable all keyboard input (except for CTRL+ALT+DEL that will stop play) during the playing of the recorded events from the output.The password and this last option are both optional. To begin recording all you have to do is press the red Start Recording button after you've set the output path and name. To stop recording just press CTRL+BREAK or click on the applications tray icon. NOTICE: In order to reproduce recorded actions on other computer you must make sure it has the same screen resolution as the system the actions were recorded on, in order for the mouse actions be reproduce exactly. If you're not sure of this detail or of the exact alignement of the other systems icons you can record only keyboard events. TS-MIDI Editor allows you to quickly and effectively correct the results of the automatic recognition (for example, by TS-AudioToMIDI). The editor is designed similarly to a Piano Roll, i.e. the time axis is located horizontally, and different positions on the vertical line correspond to different pitches. Among the functions of TS-MIDI Editor, there are functions like adding/removing notes; changing pitch and duration; playback of the result. Furthermore, Note Editor allows saving intermediate results as special files (.tsme). The editor lets you play a fragment of the MIDI file, therefore, allowing you to remove erroneous notes, which could have appeared during the recognition process, piece by piece. For your convenience, the editor has several operating modes. In the editing mode ("Edit Tool") you can move the notes, change their duration, create new notes ("Create notes" option) and also "glue" together the notes, erroneously divided by the automatic algorithm ("Glue" Option). In "Delete Tool" mode, you can quickly remove the unnecessary notes at once. At any time, you can play the entire composition or the assigned fragment, at a normal or slow speed. One of the useful TS-MIDI Editor features is the ability of temporarily muting the notes. In this case, the muted notes are displayed as colored boxes and do not sound at playback. That way, you can evaluate the editing results, with some specific notes muted or enabled. Additional editor features include the scale selection, editing of the color scheme ( "Edit Color Scheme"), editing a specific note's attributes separately (velocity, duration, channel, track, patch) as well as the attributes of the new notes by default and the MIDI file's properties.
