Rainbow Folders (RF) is an easy to use program, which allows you to change color of the icon representing chosen folder to any color you like. What for ? Mainly to boost yours computer usage speed & skills. When you're exploring directory which contains lots of subdirectories in Windows Explorer you can easily commit a mistake, e.g. by clicking the folder's icon which have similar name to the one you really wanted to go. When the folders will be marked with the colors of your desire you won't make any mistake and after some time you'll be clicking the right folders by the impulse. For example you can use RF to mark subdirectory TEMP inside C:WINDOWS. Then after going to the system dir you won't be searching the TEMP dir on the whole screen, but at the start you will click e.g. the eye attacking bloodly red folder. And now the best part: you can colorize unlimited number of folders - each into a different color. So you can e.g. colorize to red all important folders, then colorize all frequently visited folders to green etc. Also the effect of colorizing folders is not only visible in Explorer but in whole system, so also in any directory selection tree, and open/save dialog in any Windows application ! But changing colors is not everything you can do with help of RC, you can also set an extra warning when someone will be trying to delete colorized folder, and optional text that will 'pop up' when the cursor stops above the folder's icon for a while. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. Young Jim Hawkins, while running the Benbow Inn with his mother, meets Captain Billy Bones, who dies at the inn while it is beseiged by buccaneers led by Blind Pew. Jim and his mother fight off the attackers and discover Billy Bones' treasure map for which the buccaneers had come. Jim agrees to sail on the S.S. Espaniola with Squire Trelawney and Dr. Livesey to find the treasure on a mysterious island. Upon arriving at the island, ship's cook and scaliwag Long John Silver leads a mutiny of crew members who want the treasure for themselves. Jim helps the Squire and Espaniola officers to survive the mutiny and fight back against Silver's men, who have taken over the Espaniola.

RainbowGround is a utility for wallpaper / Web background image creation. It produces periodic, tileable images based on user-given or randomly generated color factor values. It can save resulting images as Web background (*.jpg) or as Windows background (*.bmp). At the upper left corner of the RainbowGround window there is preview area of generated image. Sliders around it are controlling red, green and blue color factors. As you change their positions, resulting image is changing too. At the right there are brightness and contrast sliders. They also affect resulting image. Lock buttons are used to lock groups of sliders so that a) all sliders in the group are linked and moved together and b) locked sliders are not affected by Randomize button. Randomize button changes positions of all unlocked sliders including brightness and contrast. Small triangle buttons are Reset buttons for returning appropriate sliders to their initial positions. The Save button serves for saving resulting image to a file.
