Asterisk Outlook Dialer License: Freeware

The asterisk outlook dialer was born out of a need for a secure way to dial from MSOutlook via an asterisk server. Solutions we examined in the market were either not secure due to the fact that the Asterisk Manager password needed to be keyed into the Outlook component or were too bulky for what we were trying to do. On large installations, exposing the Asterisk Manager password was a *big* security risk (in our opionion at least) as well as an extra step needed for the administrator. We decided to implement our own MSOutlook dialer which would overcome the issue of both security and size of the component. The Asterisk Outlook Dialer is implemented as a php script that runs on the asterisk server (apache). This php script acts as a "proxy" between the Asterisk server and the Oulook component. It uses the Asterisk Manager to log on and execute commands on the Asterisk box. The Outlook Dialer calls this script with the parameters such as the extension to be dialed, the number to be dialed, the callerID etc. It comes with a small installer (400K) which installs the outlook component. The php script needs to be dumped into your www folder. The main advantage of this approach is the php acts as a proxy to the Asterisk server and therefore very little configuration is necessary on the client (Outlook) end.

Express Dial is a phone dialer for Windows computers with a voice modem and headset. It can be used to automate the dialing of a list of numbers (as a predictive dialer) or to call single numbers when required using only your PC, modem and headset. Autoroute SMTP (ARS) is designed for automatic switching between SMTP servers depending on what network you are currently working in. E.g. you have two Internet service providers - FIRST and SECOND. Normally, IP address authorisation is used for SMTP servers, therefore when you are connected to the FIRST ISP you can send mail to any e-mail address from any e-mail address through his mail server (e.g., SMTP.FIRST.COM). In the same way, having established connection with the SECOND ISP you can freely use its server SMTP.SECOND.COM. But not vice versa. Normally, in that situation user has to get a e-mail address from a free mail server and use its SMTP server to deliver mail, though server of ones ISP ensures much faster and more convenient delivery. The problem is that one has two ISP's. Autoroute SMTP offers solution for that problem. The only thing you have to do is to enter one mail server with address localhost (or 127.0.0.1) in your mail client settings. Then, the mail client will establish connection with Autoroute SMTP, and Autoroute SMTP will automatically switch it to the right server. To choose the right server, Autoroute SMTP compares your IP address to IP addresses of SMTP servers you have entered and chooses one that is located in your sub-net. If no server was found, Autoroute SMTP can use server your specified in the settings. You can also disable automatic server detection, or even choose a mail server in automatic mode yourself from the list you have created by clicking the "Next > > " button. With Autoroute SMTP you always can easily show the way to your letters.
