	The asterisk outlook dialer was born out of a need for a secure way to dial from MSOutlook via an asterisk server. Solutions we examined in the market were either not secure due to the fact that the Asterisk Manager password needed to be keyed into the Outlook component or were too bulky for what we were trying to do. On large installations, exposing the Asterisk Manager password was a *big* security risk (in our opionion at least) as well as an extra step needed for the administrator. We decided to implement our own MSOutlook dialer which would overcome the issue of both security and size of the component. The Asterisk Outlook Dialer is implemented as a php script that runs on the asterisk server (apache). This php script acts as a "proxy" between the Asterisk server and the Oulook component. It uses the Asterisk Manager to log on and execute commands on the Asterisk box. The Outlook Dialer calls this script with the parameters such as the extension to be dialed, the number to be dialed, the callerID etc. It comes with a small installer (400K) which installs the outlook component. The php script needs to be dumped into your www folder. The main advantage of this approach is the php acts as a proxy to the Asterisk server and therefore very little configuration is necessary on the client (Outlook) end. 	Emsa Port Blocker is a TCP blocking utility. What it does, is blocking unwanted tcp access from/to your computer.It is not a firewall, but up to some extent it could be regarded as a similar tool. Its purpose is to prohibit TCP access on certain ports and ip addresses. IT can also be used as a TCP monitor because it shows TCP connections currently active on the machine. This program works two ways. It can be configured to block access to certain local ports, but it can also prohibit access to specified remote ports as well. 	BigSpeed Peer-to-Peer SDK is a set of two COM components (Agent and Hub) that lets you set up a virtual private peer-to-peer (P2P) network for secure file sharing and messaging. The transfered data are scrambled using on-the-fly 128-bit AES encryption, without need of SSL certificates. NAT traversal is implemented by using TCP hole-punching technology. The security is provided in two different modes: symmetric encryption with shared secret key and asymmetric encryption with 1024-bit public/private keys. The hub is responsible for keeping information on and authentication of online peers. All peers connected to a particular hub build a single private community. Each agent acts as both a client and a server at the same time. Fine grained access control is realized by a user-oriented permissions. They grant access control privileges to system resources and services in a flexible and secure manner. Two different kind of instant information can be exchanged between peers: alert and chat messages. In addition to standard FTP operations, such as upload, download, rename, delete, etc., the SDK also offers several advanced features. The broken file transfers are resumed automatically (if enabled), with MD5 integrity checking. The agent is able to run search operation on the peers. The server module is able to perform file compression and decompression by a request from the remote client module. There is an option to compress on-the-fly the outgoing data before encrypting, which may reduce greatly the transfer time for large files.
